Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Algerian Federation of Cancer Patients – FAAPAC – is organizing the 2nd Edition of the INTERNATIONAL PATIENT CONGRESS, to be held on September 22–23, 2026, in Algiers. This year’s slogan reflects the increasingly strong and effective solidarity being built around cancer patients in Algeria: « For a comprehensive approach to fight cancer : the patient at the heart of a national synergy » On the ground and throughout the Congress, FAAPAC will be supported by the sectoral partners involved in the fight against cancer : the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, the Ministry of employment, Labour and Social Security, the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs, and, with particular attention to children affected by cancer, the National Organization for the Protection and Promotion of Childhood. Over the course of two days, the Congress will bring together participants from all continents : cancer specialists, healthcare professionals, researchers and scientists, associations, institutions and volunteers. Together, they will examine and propose the latest and most effective approaches to the fight against cancer, begining from screening, early diagnosis, and innovative therapeutics. The ultimate objective is to create a virtuous synergy around cancer patients in Algeria and across Africa, bringing together all stakeholders in a shared commitment to improving patient care and strengthening the fight against cancer.
